Police in Kherson region evacuated a mother and her 7-year-old son from the shelled town of Stanislav.

According to the Kherson regional police, a resident of Stanislav called the 102 hotline and reported that she and her child had decided to evacuate the town. An evacuation team consisting of special forces officers and employees of the juvenile prevention sector of the Kherson District Police Department went to the specified address in an armored car of the Special Police Battalion.

"The police helped the mother and her 7-year-old son to leave for Kherson. There, law enforcement officers handed the family over to representatives of NGOSaveUkraine. The woman and child are now safe and heading to Kyiv," the police said.

Stanislav is a settlement in the Kherson district, located on the coast of the Dnipro Estuary. The troops of the aggressor country's army are stationed on the other side of the waterway. Every day, the occupiers send drones to the homes of local residents and fire artillery. Access roads to the settlement are also under enemy attack. Currently, police officers are almost the only hope for civilians to get to safety.

The department added that despite the constant risks to their own lives, police units in the Kherson region continue to serve in dangerous areas, evacuate the wounded under the threat of Russian attacks and provide assistance to all who need it. In addition, the police reminded that to evacuate from the settlements that suffer from constant Russian shelling, one should call the special line "102" or contact local authorities or volunteers.

For more information about the departure, please call: 0800-33-09-51.

Recently, volunteers and representatives of the Kherson City Military Administration evacuated 47 people from Antonovka and other hotspots of the community. One of the volunteers was injured as a result of an explosive drop from an enemy drone.

Before that, a 40-year-old resident of Komyshany asked the police to evacuate her and her four children as soon as possible after another enemy attack. Three girls aged 15 and 12, as well as a 7-year-old boy, could no longer stand the constant fear for their lives and hiding in the basement from "enemy aircraft". Therefore, police officers from Police Department No. 2 (Korabelnyi) together with colleagues from Police Department No. 2 (Oleshkivskyi) of the Kherson District Department evacuated the family from this dangerous settlement.
