Kim forgot to declare an apartment in a luxury residential complex and the cars belonging to both of his wives

The family of Vitaliy Kim, Minister of Veterans Affairs, who previously headed the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, may be using assets that are not listed in his financial disclosure statement. These include a new apartment and a parking space in the “Novopecherski Lypky” residential complex, a Porsche, and 18 hectares of hunting grounds in the Cherkasy region.Kim himself denies using any undeclared property.

Journalists found that in the summer of 2025, Kim’s wife’s company, “Media Group,” purchased an apartment measuring over 100 square meters and a parking space in “Novopecherski Lypky.” According to Bihus.Info’s estimate, without renovations, this property could have cost around $350,000. At the same time, according to YouControl, the company’s financial statements in previous years showed zero revenue or were missing altogether.

According to journalists,Kim’s 2025 financial disclosure statementdoes not list any expenses related to the purchase of the apartment. Meanwhile, the family’s savings grew by approximately 6.5 million hryvnias over the year, and their declared pre-tax family income amounted to nearly 7 million hryvnias.

In the parking lot near the apartment, journalists also spotted a Porsche Macan driven by Kim’s wife, Yulia. The car is registered to the company “S-Develop,” owned by businessman Roman Serbenov.

He confirmed that the company purchased the car in 2022 and leased it to Kim’s wife. The minister himself stated that the car was leased for less than 180 days, so it did not need to be included in the declaration.

Journalists also drew attention to a Volkswagen Touareg with cover plates, which was spotted several times near “Novopecherski Lipky.” Bihus.Info notes that it resembles the car Kim rents. A Touareg belonging to his ex-wife was also spotted near the complex.

In a comment, Kim denied using this vehicle and also stated that he does not use the apartment or parking space in the residential complex.

Separately, journalists investigated the “Kaniv Left-Bank Hunting Reserve” in the Cherkasy region, which manages 18,000 hectares of hunting grounds. Among the enterprise’s new owners, journalists named Oleksandr Stepanov—a longtime business partner of Kim and his wives.

Kim confirmed that he knows Stepanov and has visited the hunting grounds several times at the invitation of friends. At the same time, he stated that the hunting reserve is owned by his friends.

Vitaliy Kim currently serves as Ukraine’s Minister for Veterans Affairs. He was appointed to this position on July 16, 2026. Prior to that, he headed the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.
