Kherson region under a barrage of attacks: Russians wound a child and a father

Russian troops continue to shell Kherson region on a daily basis, hitting residential areas, social infrastructure and private vehicles. At dawn on July 20, one of the enemy's targets was the village of Zymivnyk, where civilians, including a child, were injured.

According to the Kherson MVA, at about 5:00 a.m., the invaders attacked the village, injuring a 17-year-old girl and her 51-year-old father.

Both sustained contusions, explosive and closed head injuries. The child also sustained a shrapnel wound to her leg, and the man sustained burns to his chest and combustion product poisoning. The victims were hospitalized, their condition is assessed as moderate.

The shelling of Zymivnyk was just one of the episodes of massive fire terror that Russia carried out in the Kherson region over the past day.

According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, the Russian military hit social infrastructure and residential areas of the region's settlements, in particular, damaging a high-rise building and 8 private houses. The occupiers also vandalized private cars.

"As a result of Russian aggression, 1 person was killed and 6 others were wounded, including 1 child," the statement said.

More than 30 settlements of the region came under enemy fire and drone strikes, including: Antonivka, Beryslav, Velytenske, Virivka, Dniprovske, Doslidne, Dudchany, Ivanivka, Inzhenerne, Kachkarivka, Kizomys, Lvov, Mykilske, Monastyrske, Nezlamne, Oleksandrivka, Olgivka, Osokorivka, Odradokamyanka, Poniativka, Prydniprovske, Romashkove, Sadove, Stanislav, Sofiyivka, Tokarivka, Tyahynka, Urozhayne, Shyroka Balka, Shlyakhove, Chervonyi Mayak, Yantarne, and the city of Kherson.

Recently, three volunteers were injured in the village of Veletynske, Kherson region, as a result of a Russian mine explosion.

Before that, the invaders attacked a car carrying Chief Rabbi of Kherson and Kherson region Yosef Yitzhak Wolf and his family members with a drone.
