Kherson region communities spent over 5 million on equipment for defenders

The communities of Kherson region purchased drones worth more than UAH 3 million and telecommunication electronic equipment worth more than UAH 2 million. The equipment has recently been handed over to the defenders.

According to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, the units of two Marine Coast Guard brigades defending Kherson region received another two hundred 8-inch FPV strike drones with additional capabilities.

"These "Christmas birds" carry more than two kilograms of explosives each," the official said.

He also added that the UAVs were purchased at the expense of Beryslav, Lyubymivka, Kakhovka, Novovorontsovo, Nyzhniosirohozka, Novotroitsk and Velykokopanivska communities. More than UAH 3.1 million was allocated for this purpose.

Also, computers, monitors, interactive panels, tablets, and a number of other telecommunication electronic devices were provided to the Marine Corps units.

"The cost of the purchased equipment is over UAH 2 million. This assistance was provided by Stanislav, Kochubeev, Kalynivka, Borozen, Skadovsk, Lazurnia and Bekhtera communities," explained Prokudin.

Earlier, the Marine Corps Command received display panels<span> capable of broadcasting from multiple video cameras, with information processing systems and uninterruptible power supplies. </span>The systems were purchased at the expense of the Stanislav and Novokakhovka brigades. The Coast Guard, Marine Corps, National Guard and State Border Guard units also received tactical electronic warfare equipment. These systems will help prevent attacks by Russian FPV drones. They are designed to meet the technical characteristics of enemy weapons and the operational situation in the Kherson region.
