Kherson Region Announces ₴238M in Tenders for Housing Repairs After russian Attacks

Since the end of February, the Kherson Regional Reconstruction Service has started announcing tenders for the repair of houses damaged by Russians in the region's villages. Five tenders for over 238 million hryvnias have already been announced.

According to the Center for Public Investigations, the houses will be repaired in Posad Pokrovsky of the Chornobayivska rural territorial community of Kherson district, Kherson region.

The first open bidding with special conditions will take place on March 17. The contractor has to repair houses on several streets in the village for UAH 54.3 million: Zelena (houses 13, 16, 33, 35, 40, 45), Pokrovska (houses 5, 11, 14, 22, 39, 40, 51, 54), Sportivna (houses 14, 15, 20) and Khersonska (houses 8, 23, 24, 32, 33, 37, 56, 62, 64, 71, 75, 82, 84, 93, 95, 97).

The second tender will be held the next day, on March 18. The preliminary cost of the works is UAH 38 million. The contractor will have to restore residential buildings on Bobrovsky Street (houses 7, 8, 10, 11, 15, 18, 41, 43, 58, 65, 71, 91, 96, house 53, apartments 1 and 2); Voennaya Street (house 5, apartment 1); Gagarin Street (house 12, apartments 1 and 2); Dedukha Street (houses 19, 61, 62, apartment 1) and Ingulets Street (house 4).

In March 2022, the village of Posad-Pokrovske, located on the border of Kherson and Mykolaiv regions, was on the front line. For more than eight and a half months, this area has been a zone of active hostilities. Despite constant attacks, Russian troops have not managed to capture the settlement.

The tender for the third contract will be held on March 19. A contractor is again being sought to repair houses on Zelena, Sportyvna and Khersonska streets. The house numbers are identical to the first tender, as is the list of works to be performed by the winner. However, the expected cost of the restoration has increased by 5 million and amounted to 59.3 million hryvnias.

The fourth auction will be held on March 20. The cost of works in houses on Gusynska (houses 25, 35, 41, 66, 81, 87, 95, 97) and Poltavska (houses 2, 11, 13, 31, 33, 44, 46, 48, 52, 58, 61, 63, 82) streets is UAH 36.2 million.

The tender for the restoration of housing on Pervogo Maya (building 11), Priozernaya (buildings 18, 23, 25, 35-a, 42, 43, 47, 59, 67, 82, 86, 87, 96, 107) and Sadovaya (buildings 3-a, 30, 52, 58, 62, 63, 64, 82) will be held on March 21. The cost of the reconstruction works is UAH 50.8 million.

The works under all contracts include the restoration of roofs, facades, utilities and interior spaces.

On March 7, 2025, the Government of Ukraine allocated UAH 5.2 billion for the comprehensive restoration of five settlements, including Posad-Pokrovske in the Kherson region. The plan is to "rebuild better than before," which means a comprehensive approach to modernizing infrastructure and improving the lives of citizens.
