Kherson pyrotechnics received new equipment from international partners.
This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
The post says that Kherson demining specialists received another batch of assistance from international donors to improve the efficiency of their work in the de-occupied territories.
Thus, with the support of the UNDP programs "Mine Action in Ukraine" and "Promoting Human Security in Ukraine through War-Torn Crisis Response" from the Governments of Denmark, Sweden and Japan, pyrotechnic units were equipped with modern equipment. The list of equipment received includes binoculars, topographic laser rangefinders, ohmmeters, sets of explosive cable and electric detonation machines.
It is noted that the head of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kherson region, Andriy Masharo, expressed gratitude for the assistance: "Our pyrotechnics risk their lives every day clearing the territories of mines and shells. Therefore, proper equipment is extremely important. Thanks to the support of international partners, we will be able to make Kherson region safer for its residents."
Earlier it was reported that 15 mobile vehicle workshops were delivered to the SES units. These vehicle workshops are designed to repair mechanized demining machines that perform tasks in the de-occupied territories and are equipped with the most necessary tools.
Also, thanks to the UNDP-implemented ITA projects "Promoting Human Security in Ukraine through Response to the Multidimensional Crisis Caused by War", "Mine Action in Ukraine", and "Supporting Early Recovery in War-Affected Areas of Ukraine", pyrotechnics in Kherson region received high-quality equipment that will contribute to faster, better, and most importantly, safer demining.
