The occupation authorities on the left bank of the Kherson region are planning to import children's books from Moscow and the Gospels from the Russian Orthodox Church.
According to Mist, this was reported by pro-Russian media in the Kherson region.
The occupation authorities noted that Russian bookstores have launched a campaign to collect books to be sent "to new regions" to replenish local libraries. In addition, the occupiers stated that on the occasion of the Day of the Orthodox Book, the Russian Orthodox Church published an illustrated Gospel for children, a pocket Gospel for use on the road, and an Orthodox prayer book, which are also to be delivered to the temporarily occupied territories.
Earlier, in the occupied Skadovsk district, Russians helda "patriotic lesson" dedicated to the Russian army in the Romashka kindergarten. The children were told about the types and branches of the Russian Armed Forces, explained their "purpose" and organized a creative task during which the kids made applications on military topics. In Feodosia, the invaders also unveiled a plaque on the facade of the specialized school No. 2 to Igor Tyshchenko, a special forces officer with the call sign"Crimea," who died in the war against Ukraine.
In addition, children under occupation are forced to learn distorted history and inculcate values that contradict their national identity. One of the main methods of influence of the occupiers is to change the content of the curriculum. The history of Ukraine is being replaced with falsified narratives that justify aggression and give children a distorted view of their own country. Lessons are taught with an emphasis on the "correct" version of events, and there is simply no alternative point of view.
Such activities of the invaders are aimed at the gradual destruction of Ukrainian identity in children who are not yet able to critically evaluate information. The policy of systematic brainwashing of children in schools in the TOT can have catastrophic consequences for the future, as children growing up in such an environment may lose touch with their own culture, language and history. This threatens to create a new generation that will be deprived of Ukrainian identity and brought up in the ideology of the aggressor.
