Russian Troops Attack 42 Settlements in Kherson, 2 Dead, 7 Injured

Over the past day, Russian troops attacked 42 settlements in Kherson region. Residential areas, critical and social infrastructure came under enemy fire.

According to the Kherson Military District Administration, the affected settlements include Beryslav, Antonivka, Stanislav, Bilozerka, Chervonyi Mayak, Zolota Balka, Chornobaivka, Shlyakhove, Yantarne and the city of Kherson. Russian shells damaged three multi-storey buildings, eight private residential buildings, outbuildings, a gas pipeline, and civilian vehicles.

The attacks killed two people and injured seven others, including two children.
During a nighttime drone attack, the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces destroyed one enemy Shahed-131/136 drone.

In addition, at about 22:30, Russians attacked the Red Mayak with aircraft. A 46-year-old man and a 69-year-old woman were injured as a result of a guided aerial bomb strike on a residential building. They were diagnosed with explosive injuries, contusions and shrapnel wounds. The victims were hospitalized, their condition is assessed as moderate.

In Kherson, Russian soldiers attacked a car of employees of the Atracom company, which maintains fiber-optic communication lines, said Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

As a result of the attack, two employees in the car sustained barotrauma and shrapnel wounds.

Fedorov noted that communications workers in frontline cities are forced to work in extremely difficult conditions, constantly risking their lives due to attacks by FPV drones, guided aerial bombs, artillery and rocket attacks.

On March 11, Russians dropped explosives from a UAV on two teenagers in the Dniprovsky district of Kherson.

Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion in Kherson region , 229 children have been affected. Of these, 39 were killed and 190 sustained injuries of varying severity. This happened due to numerous war crimes that were recorded by the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine. In total, more than a thousand criminal proceedings have been registered, of which 294 relate to crimes directly against children.
