Kherson region has handed over electronic warfare equipment and FPV drones to the National Guard and border guards.
This was reported by the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
Thanks to this, the soldiers will be able to defend themselves against attacks by enemy UAVs, and there will be fewer Russian occupiers and their equipment on the left bank of the Kherson region.
The head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin also congratulated the National Guard on the Independence Day of Ukraine and presented them with regional awards.
"Your dedication to the Ukrainian people and courage is the shield that protects our region and Ukraine. Thank you for your service, for your courage and strength," Prokudin said.
Earlier, 130 new FPV strike drones were delivered to one of the marine units of the Theater of Operations in Kherson region. the drones were purchased thanks to the joint efforts of the communities of Kherson region. The Beryslav, Yuvileyna and Vynohradiv communities allocated more than two million hryvnias to purchase them.
Previously, Kherson region has handed over almost four hundred FPV drones for the Marines who perform combat missions in Kherson region. These drones will help the defense to destroy enemy positions and equipment on Ukrainian soil more effectively. The warbirds were purchased at the expense of the Milivska, Novooleksandrivska, Vysokopilska and Oleshkivska communities at a cost of almost six million hryvnias.
The Center for Public Investigations has analyzed all 30 contracts worth over UAH 30 million that were concluded for the purchase of Mavic quadcopters of various models and configurations by institutions in Odesa, Kherson and Mykolaiv regions from May 1 to August 8. According to the CPLR analysts, it turned out that the most expensive purchases of some drones were in Odesa region, and the cheapest ones were in Kherson region.
