Kherson Executive Committee has spent budget funds on Starlink, awards and car repairs since the beginning of the year

In the first five months of 2025, the executive committee of the Kherson City Council spent several million budget hryvnias on various purchases, from fuel to detergents.

Int' l journalists analyzed data from the zakupivli.pro website and found out what the money was spent on.

The executive committee started the year by purchasing diesel fuel. A total of UAH 1.8 million was spent on fuel. Another 243 thousand was spent on information services from the LIGA360.GOV.UA platform. More than 93 thousand were planned for the creation of a comprehensive information security system.

Electricity and gas distribution services cost more than 100 thousand. Almost 30 thousand hryvnias were allocated for centralized sewage and water supply, and 19,490 hryvnias for solid waste removal.

Other expenses included 96 thousand for flowers. Almost 50 thousand were spent on sending internal written correspondence and Ukrposhta services, another 5 thousand on delivering secret and unclassified messages, and 79 thousand on printer ink.

Another 93 thousand was spent on using a secure digital communication channel, and almost 70 thousand on maintaining the Starlink network and equipment.

In February, the executive committee ordered 30 sets that included a badge "For the Defense and Liberation of Kherson," a certificate and a certificate. UAH 39,900 was planned for this, and UAH 6,000 was spent on cases.

The current repair of office equipment and its maintenance cost 126 thousand, and cardboard boxes for the archive cost another 75 thousand.

In April, we held an auction for car repair services worth 400 thousand hryvnias. Another 47 thousand was spent to maintain the city council website.

In addition, several procurements were made related to everyday issues. For example, over UAH 50 thousand was spent on garbage bags, air fresheners, liquid soap, detergents, viscose cleaning cloths and floor rags from the city budget.

In general, even during the period of martial law, the expenses of the Kherson executive committee cover a wide range of needs, from official services to everyday life. Thus, the total expenditures of the executive committee of the Kherson City Council on these items amounted to at least UAH 3.5 million.

In addition, in the first five months of 2025, the municipal enterpriseParks of Kherson spent more than UAH 16 million on the most expensive purchases. The bulk of the money was spent on fuel and waste removal: more than UAH 4 million on diesel fuel, UAH 170 thousand on gasoline, and another UAH 2.3 million on waste management services. In addition, the company purchased materials for the conservation of buildings and structural products.
