Kherson community shoots down 1157 Russian drones in a week

The occupying forces continue to continuously cover Kherson region with massive strikes. The aggressor country uses the entire arsenal, but most of all - attack and reconnaissance drones. Over the past week alone, the region's defenders have recorded more than 2,600 attempts at drone attacks.

This was reported by Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

Despite the intensity of the attacks, the Ukrainian Defense Forces demonstrate high efficiency in countering drones. According to the administration, the defeat rate of enemy UAVs reaches 95%. In seven days, our defenders shot down 2,505 Russian drones, including 1,157 over the Kherson community.

According to the National Police, during the day, Russians damaged 20 private houses, a critical infrastructure facility, a medical facility, a gas station, an indestructibility point, a post office, a church, three cars and a motorcycle.

In Kreschenivka, hostile FPV drones hit a church and an indestructible point. A private house caught fire in Tomyna Balka. In Novovorontsovka, drones destroyed three houses and vehicles of local residents.

Artillery shelling hit Komyshany and Bilozerka in particular. A hospital, several private houses and a post office were damaged there. In Kherson in the morning, an attack drone hit a gas station in the Central district, injuring two employees.

In the Dniprovsky and Korabelny districts of Kherson, Russian artillery destroyed more than ten more private houses. Over the past 24 hours, police received 159 reports of crimes and opened five criminal proceedings under the article on war crimes.

On December 3-4, Russian troops again massively shelled the frontline areas with drones, aircraft and artillery. The attacks hit 22 settlements in the region. Four private houses, an administrative building and a car were damaged. Another attack killed three people and injured seven others. A 6-year-old girl wounded the day before during the Russian shelling of the Dniprovsky district of Kherson did not survive the trauma and died in hospital.
