Thanks to these devices, ambulances will have a backup power supply, which is critical for the functioning of medical equipment during calls.

Yaroslav Shanko, deputy head of the Kherson Regional Medical Association, thanked the partners for their help, emphasizing that uninterrupted power supply in ambulances directly affects saving lives.

In 2024, Kherson region received more than UAH 1.5 billion in international aid, which is UAH 814 million more than in the previous year. This assistance was directed to various areas, including the provision of heating materials for the population in the amount of UAH 800 million, as well as the implementation of numerous projects, including the delivery of Tesla Powerwall for hospitals, ambulances, agricultural machinery, fertilizers, greenhouses, solar panels for critical infrastructure, and much more. Most of the funding was provided through cooperation with the UN, USAID, Chemonics, and JICA.

Recently, communities in Kherson Oblast received more than 16,000 liters of diesel fuel and gasoline to ensure the uninterrupted operation of generators at critical and social infrastructure facilities.

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) also provided Kherson with two new SONAROL SNR 210 tractors . The tractors are equipped with attachments and will be used to eliminate the consequences of shelling, transport materials and carry out repairs in the city. In early December, Kherson received three trucks and spare parts from Japan worth approximately $766,036.
