Emergency medical services in Kherson Oblast have received the latest battery systems. The assistance was provided thanks to the support of the Canada Ukraine Foundation.
According to the Kherson Regional Medical Association, 31 autonomous power plants were delivered to the region for the stable operation of the service, and 6 more such systems are expected in the near future.
Thanks to these devices, ambulances will have a backup power supply, which is critical for the functioning of medical equipment during calls.
Yaroslav Shanko, deputy head of the Kherson Regional Medical Association, thanked the partners for their help, emphasizing that uninterrupted power supply in ambulances directly affects saving lives.
In 2024, Kherson region received more than UAH 1.5 billion in international aid, which is UAH 814 million more than in the previous year. Most of the funding was provided through cooperation with the UN, USAID, Chemonics, and JICA.
