Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops launched another series of attacks on the Kherson region using aircraft, artillery, mortars, and drones. As a result of the attacks, one person was killed and six others were wounded.
This was reported by Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
According to him, Kherson and dozens of settlements in the region came under enemy fire. The occupiers targeted residential neighborhoods, critical infrastructure, and social infrastructure facilities.
Over the past 24 hours, nine high-rise buildings and 23 private homes were damaged. Museums, a church, stores, a restaurant, a hair salon, a gas station, warehouses, and private vehicles were also damaged.
The Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that at approximately 3:45 p.m. on August 2, Russian forces dropped explosives from a drone onto a civilian vehicle in Kherson. One woman was killed in the attack, and two other people were injured. In addition, another resident of the regional capital was injured in a separate attack by a Russian drone.
Law enforcement authorities have opened criminal cases under the article on war crimes in connection with the Russian attacks. Prosecutors and investigators continue to document the consequences of the shelling and gather evidence of crimes committed by Russian military personnel.
As a reminder, the number of people injured in the Russian airstrike on the Central District of Kherson on August 1 has risen to 20. On August 2, two more local residents sought medical attention.
