The Prosecutor's Office detained and proved the guilt of a resident of Odesa region who leaked the locations of Ukrainian defenders in the "Chat Roulette" broadcasts.

SBU officers found out that the convict joined an online video chat service that provides anonymous communication between users from different countries. There he started a dialog with a blogger who positioned himself as a representative of the aggressor country.

During this conversation, the attacker informed the aggressor of the locations of some military units, as well as details of the presence of security at critical infrastructure facilities.

The 55-year-old man later published one of his "conversations" on a video hosting service.

Its content allowed to identify the terrain, the structure of checkpoints and defensive positions that could be used by the enemy for air attacks or sabotage.

The detention took place in November last year.

The man has been in custody all this time, awaiting trial, and has fully confessed.

He was sentenced to 5 years in prison. Complex measures were carried out by the SBU in Odesa region under the procedural guidance of the regional prosecutor's office.

The court found him guilty under Part 2 of Art. 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (unauthorized dissemination of information on the movement or location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine under martial law).

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the SBU Office in Odesa region under the supervision of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office.

Earlier, we wrote that the court found an agent of the Russian Federal Security Service with the operational pseudonym "Skif", who formed his own network of informants in Odesa region, guilty of high treason committed under martial law.

The SBU also gathered indisputable evidence of the guilt of another FSB agent who was collecting intelligence on new units of the Defense Forces. He was exposed and detained by the SBU in March this year during a special operation in Odesa.
