Yuriy Tsymbal, deputy head of the Kyiv District TCC in Odesa, and his wife have come under the spotlight of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption for purchasing two apartments worth UAH 2.45 million.
The NAPC stated that these assets were unjustified.
According to the agency, in February 2023, the official purchased a 31.2-square-meter apartment, and six days later his wife became the owner of a 60.7-square-meter apartment. The couple explained that they had been saving for years to buy real estate, but their declarations for 2017-2022 did not indicate significant savings. The only amount declared was $100 in the wife's bank account.
In addition, the family's official income for these years could not cover the cost of such purchases. As a result, the NACP suspects a violation of financial transparency. The official faces a fine of 17 to 42.5 thousand hryvnias if his guilt is proven.
Meanwhile, Yevhen Borysov, suspected of legalizing property by criminal means, the former head of the Odesa Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support, tried to obtain a disability group.
Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation have completed an investigation into the criminal proceedings against the former head of the Odesa Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support, Yevhen B orysov, for forgery of documents.
As a reminder, journalists conducted an investigation and found out that the family of the head of the Odesa Regional TCC and JV purchased real estate and cars worth millions of dollars on the Spanish coast. And this is during the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia.
Earlier, Intent wrote that Maksym Kondratiuk, a senior detective of the Bureau of Economic Security, declared new real estate worth more than UAH 4 million. At the same time, the detective's annual salary is 420 thousand hryvnias. The detective filed a declaration on the purchase of an apartment in Odesa with a total area of 117 square meters, the value of which at the time of purchase was UAH 4.22 million. He bought the apartment on October 24, 2024, with a one-time expense of UAH 844.2 thousand.
