In Mykolaiv, Children's Hospital #2 ordered laboratory tests from another medical institution without a tender procedure worth almost UAH 3 million.

The Center for Public Investigations learned about this from the Prozorro electronic system.

On January 3, the municipal non-profit enterprise of the Mykolaiv City Council, City Children's Hospital No. 2, signed a contract with City Hospital No. 1. Representatives of the medical institution decided not to hold a tender, concluding the agreement without using the electronic system. One hospital will pay UAH 2 million 797 thousand to the other for the tests.

According to the contract, during the year, Hospital No. 1 is to provide laboratory services to the children's hospital under the state order. These include: determining the level of enzymes such as creatine phosphokinase and lactate dehydrogenase; checking indicators that characterize the body's functioning, such as cholesterol, triglycerides, iron, potassium, sodium and calcium; testing for hepatitis A, B, C viruses, as well as analysis of immunoglobulins (IgE, IgG, IgM); checking blood parameters such as fibrinogen, platelets and D-dimer, etc.

Earlier, Intent wrote that in Mykolaiv, a tender for the supply of medical equipment worth 16 million was awarded to a company that was accused of misappropriating budget funds and inflating prices.

Meanwhile, a company registered in Switzerland earned more than twenty million hryvnias in 2024 from the supply of equipment for medical institutions in Mykolaiv region. In addition, it was involved in criminal proceedings for misappropriation of budget funds during the procurement of medical equipment.

It was also reported that the reconstruction of the Bashtanka Multidisciplinary Hospital building was being carried out by a company that was involved in a case of misappropriation of budget funds. The company was also accused of abuse of office by prior conspiracy with officials of the Capital Construction Department of Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.
