A house in Mykolaiv region was restored after a rocket attack with the help of an international organization. The restoration took place as part of a memorandum of cooperation signed by representatives of local government and the international organization ACTED.

This was reported by the press service of the Voznesensk City Council.

On July 10, 2024, a residential building at 2a Lisna Street was damaged as a result of a missile strike that hit the Voznesensk community. The missile fragments severely damaged the building's structure: they destroyed the roof, smashed windows and damaged the walls. This tragedy was a difficult test for the residents and the community.

The project included

According to the press service, today the residents of the house have a new, safe roof over their heads. Their home has also become a symbol of how international support and community unity help overcome the consequences of war. The Voznesensk City Council and the residents of the house sincerely thanked ACTED Ukraine for their quick response, humanity and assistance.

And in de-occupied Novopetrivka, Mykolaiv region, local women decided to rebuild their village on their own after the destruction caused by the occupation by Russian troops in 2022. The villagers received a grant of UAH 495,000 and are already actively repairing the library, setting up a resilience center, and restoring the only source of water - a well.

Mykolaiv recently attracted international support to restore the historic building of the Mykola Arkas Lyceum. The educational institution was destroyed by the enemy in 2022. Denmark wanted to restore the lyceum, which was destroyed by a missile attack by the Russian occupation army, back in 2023. It was supposed to be done at the expense of an international partner.

A new bridge over the Ingulets River was also put into operation in the Snihuriv community. The bridge was destroyed by the Russian occupiers in November 2022. The length of this bridge is 54 meters and the width of the roadway is eight meters. Construction work began in August of this year, and the crossing was put into operation in December.
