The Third Disciplinary Chamber of the High Council of Justice has closed disciplinary proceedings against the former head of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi City District Court of Odesa Oblast, Oleksandr Boyarskyi.

This was reported by the HCJ press service.

The fact is that the judge was found guilty of receiving undue advantage. He was sentenced to 6 years in prison, but released on probation for 3 years. For this period, he was banned from holding certain positions.

Judge of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi City District Court, Oleksandr Boyarskyi, was at the center of a corruption scandal in 2023, suspected of taking a bribe for helping a man evade mobilization.

On January 12, the High Council of Justice granted permission to keep the judge in custody. On January 16, 2024, the High Anti-Corruption Court arrested the judge for two months with the possibility of bail in excess of UAH 1 million.

According to the investigation, in December 2023, Boyarsky took $1,500 for making a decision that would allow the father to officially formalize the child's residence with him. Such a document would allow the father to avoid mobilization and go abroad with the child.

On February 3, 2025, judge Oleksandr Boyarsky of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi City District Court of Odesa Oblast was temporarily suspended from the administration of justice based on a decision of the First Disciplinary Chamber of the High Council of Justice.

In October 2024, the Odesa Court of Appeal revoked the permission of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi Court for men of military age to cross the border. This decision was made by Judge Oleksandr Boyarsky. During 2022-2023, the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi City District Court issued more than a thousand permits for men of military age to cross the border. In order to avoid mobilization, the court ruled that the child should live with the father, which allowed the men to leave the country. The cost of such decisions was $1,500-3,000. According to the NABU, the judge of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi City District Court, Oleksandr Boyarskyi, was involved in this.

Earlier, Judge Boyarsky was detained on suspicion of extortion for similar actions and arrested with the possibility of bail. On January 12, 2024, the High Council of Justice granted consent to keep the judge in custody.
