The Ukrainian Armed Forces' strike on L'gov in Kursk region may have killed the commander of the 52nd Long-Range Aviation Regiment, Colonel Oleh Tymoshyn, who was involved in the rocket attack on the resort village of Serhiivka in 2022.

"Colonel Tymoshyn was killed as a result of the attack on L'gov in the Kursk region. It was he who gave the order to strike a residential building in Dnipro. He was also involved in a missile strike on a shopping center in Kremenchuk, a city house of culture in Kharkiv region and a high-rise building in Odesa region," the statement said.
It should be noted that neither the General Staff, nor the Ministry of Defense, nor the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine have confirmed the liquidation of Colonel Tymoshyn.
Russian media reported that on December 30, L'gov in the Kursk region was attacked by at least 6 Storm Shadow missiles. Several missiles hit a building used by the Russian military at 1 Sverdlov Street. As a result, 8 soldiers were killed on the spot and 22 others were hospitalized.
It was also reported that the first missile flew into the location of the troops. After that, the soldiers began to urgently descend into the underground bunker, but more missiles arrived, the entrance was covered with debris and a fire started. Many suffocated or burned alive.
TheCenter for Public Investigations made a request to the Prosecutor General's Office and received a response: the investigation of the shelling in Serhiivka is being carried out by the Security Service of Ukraine. Currently, Oleh Timoshyn has been notified of suspicion for violation of the laws and customs of war by a group of people. He faces life imprisonment. The investigation is ongoing.
