8 injured in Kherson region, houses and infrastructure destroyed

<span><span>Over the past 24 hours (from 06:00 on January 3 to 06:00 on January 4, 2025), the Kherson region came under heavy shelling by the Russian military. The attacks hit 39 settlements, including the city of Kherson and nearby villages.</span></span>

<span><span>This was reported by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin.</span></span>

<span><span>Russian troops shelled residential areas, social infrastructure and private facilities. Three high-rise buildings, 20 private houses, a gas pipeline, an outbuilding, a garage, a bus and private cars were damaged. </span></span><span><span>As a result of these attacks, 8 civilians were injured.</span></span>

Zolota Balka, Stanislav, Novoraysk, Bilozerka, Monastyrske, Tomyna Balka, Novodmytrivka, Daryivka, Beryslav, Mykilske, Novokayry, Antonivka, Zamozhne, Shyroka Balka, Chervony Mayak, Havrylivka, Zymivnyk came under hostile fire and air strikes, Prydniprovske, Sadove, Komyshany, Naddnipryanske, Zmiivka, Burgunka, Virivka, Vesele, Dniprovske, Ivanivka, Krupytsia, Kizomys, Sofiyivka, Poniativka, Molodizhne, Mykhailivka, Novooleksandrivka, Novotyanka, Olgivka, Odradokamyanka, Zelenivka, Lviv and the city of Kherson.

Earlier it was reported that on the morning of January 2, the occupiers struck at Kherson. As a result, five passengers of a taxi were injured.

In Stanislav, two men were injured as a result of an explosive dropped from a drone. One of the victims is in serious condition. The shelling damaged at least 10 civilian objects, including private and apartment buildings, as well as vehicles.

During the first day of the new year, two people were killed and at least six wounded in the Kherson region.

On January 1, Russian shelling claimed the life of Pavel Matviyets, a volunteer with the NGO Strong and Free. He was only 23 years old.

The man was helping to deliver household appliances, food and hygiene kits to Kherson residents affected by Russian attacks. Together with the employees of the city military administration, he cleared the rubble and removed construction debris after the shelling.

On New Year's Eve, the occupants shelled the Dniprovsky district of Kherson, as a result of which a 46-year-old woman who was inside the building sustained explosive injury, contusion and shrapnel wounds to her limbs.
