The court found former MP Kormyshkina and her husband guilty of illicit enrichment and other crimes, sentencing them to 5 years in prison with fines, but released them from serving their sentences with a probationary period of 2 years. They are also obliged to pay UAH 20 million to the budget and UAH 2 million for the needs of the Armed Forces.

This was reported by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.

On March 21, 2025, the High Anti-Corruption Court approved a plea agreement between the SAPO prosecutor and a former MP and her husband, a former deputy of the regional council.

According to the court's decision, the former MP was found guilty under Part 2 of Art. 366-2 and Part 1 of Art. 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, and her husband - under Part 2 of Art. 209 and Part 2 of Art. 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The court sentenced the former MP to 5 years in prison, a fine of 4000 non-taxable minimum incomes (68 thousand hryvnias) and a ban on holding positions related to the performance of state or local government functions for a period of 2 years.

Her husband received the same punishment - 5 years in prison, a fine of UAH 68 thousand and a similar ban for 2 years.

At the same time, the court, guided by Article 75 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, released both of them from serving the main sentence, setting a probationary period of 2 years.

In addition, the former MP has to pay UAH 20 million to the state budget, and together with her husband, another UAH 2 million to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The verdict can be appealed to the HACC Appeals Chamber within 30 days of its announcement.

In January, the NABU and the SAPO served a notice of suspicion to the current Member of Parliament of Ukraine, Iryna Kormyshkina, of entering false information in her electronic declaration. According to the investigation, she is already a suspect in the case of illicit enrichment, as in 2021-2022 she acquired assets worth more than UAH 20 million, while her official income and savings during this period did not exceed UAH 2.7 million.

Her purchases include a house in Odesa region that was not listed in the declaration, as well as two land plots that were in her use but not included in the 2023 declaration.

Law enforcement officers also arrested Yurii Kormyshkin, a former deputy of the Mykolaiv Regional Council and owner of the Southern Agricultural Export Company. A bail of UAH 15 million was imposed on him on suspicion of attempting to legalize his wife's property. According to the SAPO, as a deputy of the regional council, he tried to conceal the source of these funds and make them legal by conducting a number of financial transactions.
