Kherson Bakery, once the largest taxpayer and employer in the region, has been put up for sale for the third time. The previous two attempts failed due to the lack of buyers, and the company was officially declared bankrupt.

This is evidenced by data from the online auction system Prozorro.Sale.

The property of PJSC Kherson Bakery, one of the largest employers and taxpayers in the region, has been put up for sale again. The auction is scheduled for August 11, 2025, and the acceptance of bids started on August 1.

This is the third attempt to sell the company's assets. The first auction was supposed to take place on April 4, but it was canceled due to the lack of buyers. At that time, the starting price was UAH 20.9 million. Later, they tried to sell the property for the second time - for UAH 16.7 million, but these auctions were also unsuccessful. This time, the starting price of the property is UAH 12.5 million.

The assets include a large production base, including administrative and production premises with an area of over 8,000 m², warehouses, garages, a boiler house, a checkpoint, baking lines, refrigeration equipment, computer equipment and other means of production. The buildings were severely damaged by the hostilities: windows were smashed in many rooms, and there were holes in the roof and walls. The equipment has not been in operation for more than two years, shows signs of wear and tear, and its performance has not been tested. Dismantling and transportation will be at the buyer's expense.

According to media reports, the company had debts of UAH 23.45 million, while the asset valuation was only UAH 9.59 million. The bakery failed to resume operations due to a lack of funds, necessary assets and potential investors.

According to the YouControl analytical system, Kherson Bakery was founded in 1996 on the basis of the state-owned enterprise Khersonkhlib, which had been operating since 1953 and included three production shops. Its founder is Sergey Durov, with an authorized capital of UAH 812,100. Ukrkhlibprom, an association of bakery industry enterprises, held a 25% stake in the ownership structure.

From 2016 to 2022, the company participated in government tenders, receiving a total of more than UAH 40 million. In 2021, its total revenue exceeded UAH 192 million. However, on November 7, 2024, the Economic Court of Odesa Region declared Kherson Bakery PJSC bankrupt and opened liquidation proceedings.
