Kherson imposes strict restrictions on Easter

Restrictions on Easter have been introduced in the Kherson community: cemeteries will be closed.

According to the head of the Kherson City Military Administration, Yaroslav Shanko, he signed an order on security measures during the Easter holidays and memorial days.

Given the security situation in the community, a number of restrictions have been introduced.

Religious organizations are advised to conduct services remotely, organize festive events only inside churches, and plan their schedules taking into account the curfew.

According to the official, such measures are aimed at protecting the lives and health of residents. Citizens are urged to follow the established rules.

As previously reported by Intent, Russian troops massively attacked Kherson and Mykolaiv regions with drones, artillery and aircraft. There are dead and wounded civilians, including a child, and damaged residential buildings and critical infrastructure.

As a reminder, on April 8, 4 people were killed and 21 others were injured, including a child, as a result of Russian aggression. One person was evacuated from the frontline communities.

Yaroslav Shanko, head of the Kherson MVA, reported that a part of Kherson was mined. In particular, anti-personnel mines of the "Gingerbread man" type were found on Korabelna Square. Residents are urged to limit their movements in the area, as the mining zone may be wider.

Also, trolleybuses are temporarily out of service in the city due to damage to the overhead power lines. The resumption of traffic will depend on the security situation.

Separately, it is reported that an 84-year-old man who was injured in the shelling on April 3 died in hospital.
