In Mykolaiv, a court remanded a Moldovan citizen in custody. He is suspected of a scheme to produce fake Romanian documents to evade mobilization.

This is evidenced by the decision of the Central District Court of Mykolaiv.

The investigation found that the man deliberately tried to help evade mobilization during martial law. To do this, he agreed with an acquaintance to produce false Romanian or Bulgarian documents that would allow him to move freely in Ukraine and avoid being drafted into the Armed Forces.

The meeting between them took place in March at a gas station in the village of Koblevo in Mykolaiv region. During the conversation, the man offered to issue forged foreign passports, an internal passport and a driver's license allegedly issued by Romania or Bulgaria for $6,000. He assured me that the documents were made in Moldova and then transported to Ukraine by minibus. According to him, the documents looked genuine and contained all the necessary details.

He also promised to help with border crossing stamps every three months for a fee. To complete the documents, he asked for a photo on a white background.

Later, in April, another meeting was held in Odesa near the McDonald's on Prince Volodymyr the Great Avenue. They discussed the scheme of making fake documents and how to evade mobilization. After that, the customer handed over the first part of the money to the suspect - USD 3 thousand as a deposit.

Later, the suspects handed over a set of fake Romanian documents to a man who cooperated with the investigation.

Immediately after the documents were handed over, SBU officers detained the participants of the scheme. During the searches of the apartments and the car, law enforcement officers seized evidence that, according to the investigation, confirmed the illegal activity.

The court concluded that the suspect could hide, influence witnesses or continue criminal activity, so it imposed the most severe measure of restraint - detention without bail.

Also in Mykolaiv, the SBU exposed a man who administered a closed Telegram community to coordinate mobilization evasion. He not only distributed the locations of the TCCs, but also created instructions on how to counteract the military.
