Enemy shelling damaged 15 houses and killed four people in Kherson region

The shelling in Kherson region killed four civilians and injured nine others, including three police officers. Police opened 17 criminal cases under the article on war crimes.

This was reported by the press service of the National Police of Ukraine.

Russian troops continue to shell Kherson region, causing significant damage to civilian towns and villages. Over the past 24 hours alone, four civilians were killed and nine people were wounded, including three police officers.

The most active attacks were recorded in Kherson, Bilozerka, Ukrainka, Kachkarivka, Osokorivka and Chornobaivka. The enemy used a variety of weapons: artillery, mortars, multiple launch rocket systems and unmanned aerial vehicles.

The strikes severely damaged residential buildings, both apartment buildings and private houses, as well as cars and critical infrastructure, including a medical facility.

In particular, in Stanislav, two civilians, a 37-year-old man and a 62-year-old woman, were killed by a drone attack. In Bilozerka, a 64-year-old man was seriously injured in a drone attack. In Ukrayinka, a 32-year-old man was injured in a residential area when a drone dropped explosives on a residential area, injuring his back and leg.

In Kachkarivka, an FPV drone attack claimed the life of a 50-year-old local resident, and two other men sustained severe mine injuries. In Osokorivka, drones damaged several private houses, and in Chornobaivka, a civilian car and a truck. In addition, a 34-year-old woman was wounded in Chornobaivka, sustaining blast injuries and bruises.

Police officers who were at the scene of an accident in Kherson, where the occupiers dropped explosives from a drone, were particularly severely injured. As a result, three law enforcement officers aged 29 to 34 were contused.

During the day, the police recorded 290 reports of various crimes and incidents in the region, and opened 17 criminal proceedings under the article on war crimes.

On August 9, near Kherson, the occupiers fired on a shuttle bus. The attack killed two people and injured at least six others, two of them in serious condition. The injured were taken to the hospital where they are being treated.
