Enemy attacks port in Odesa region with attack drones

The Odesa region was attacked by attack drones, damaging houses, the port and energy infrastructure. Five people were injured, and more than 30,000 subscribers lost power.

This was reported by the head of Odesa regional power company Oleh Kiper.

"At night, Odesa region was massively shelled by attack drones, most of the targets were successfully destroyed by air defense, but some civilian, port and energy infrastructure was severely damaged.

The attack set fire to two private houses, the administrative building of a gas station and port facilities, and damaged four other buildings. Containers with vegetable oil and wood pellets caught fire in the port, creating an additional hazard. Five people were preliminarily injured, all of whom are being treated.

The shelling has left more than 30,000 subscribers without electricity, and the State Emergency Service and emergency services are working to eliminate the consequences. Law enforcers are documenting another brazen crime of the Russian Federation against the civilian population of Odesa region.

According to the General Staff, the enemy carried out 87 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements, dropping 192 guided bombs. In addition, 5,827 kamikaze drones were used and 4,192 attacks were made, including 118 from multiple launch rocket systems.

On the night of October 6, Odesa region was again attacked by Russian drones, this time by Shahed drones that reached a specific target. Despite the active work of air defense, one of the hits fell on a civilian industrial facility, causing a fire and damage to property.

Earlier, on October 2, a Ukrzaliznytsia depot in Odesa came under fire, where a train driver sustained shrapnel wounds and is being treated for all necessary medical care. The attack also damaged the roof and glazing of a private residential building. In total, two people were injured in both attacks, and rescue and medical services are working to eliminate the consequences and provide assistance.
