On August 10, 2024, relatives and friends of the marines who went missing near the village of Krynky in the Kherson region gathered on Independence Square in Kyiv.

This was reported by Suspilne.

Participants of the rally, who came from different parts of Ukraine, held flags of marine brigades, photos of missing soldiers and posters with inscriptions: "Pain, cry and uncertainty", "Bring our loved ones home", "Missing is not a status".

For almost five months, the mother of a marine with the 37th Brigade has not heard from her son, who went missing in Krynky on March 25 this year. She said that the same evening her son contacted her and said he was going on a combat mission. He never got in touch again.

One of the participants of the campaign, Victoria, is looking for her brother, who went missing during the battle for Krynky on March 15, 2024. He served in the 35th Marine Brigade. She has not yet received any information from the brigade command about his fate, the only news came from a fellow soldier who served with him.

According to the relatives of the missing soldiers, they cannot get anything done anywhere. They are simply thrown from one office to another and given no answers. This situation is typical. Relatives know nothing about the fate of the guys from the 37th Brigade who were in Krynky at the time. All are considered missing.

In total, 788 Ukrainian soldiers went missing during the defense of Krynky village in Kherson region from October 2023 to June 2024. The Defense Forces managed to remove 262 bodies of fallen soldiers from Krynky.

Recently, the Liberovs' photojournalists made a documentary film"Krynky." The film is based on short stories of the soldiers. It is also noted that some of the video was shot on ordinary phones by the soldiers themselves at the positions.

Kostyantyn and Vlada Liberov managed to film the events at the Krynky foothold in the Kherson region. These are unique footage of hellish battles, evacuation of the wounded by boat, heroic work of Falcon FPV operators, and survival in a completely destroyed village of the soldiers of the 126th Separate TRO Brigade of the 30th Marine Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In July, the military reported on how the situation in Krynky had changed after the Ukrainian Armed Forces withdrew. The occupying army does not stop attacking the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of Krynky, Kherson region, but their assaults are unsuccessful.

In February 2024, marines from the 36th Brigade planted a Ukrainian flag in the village of Krynky on the left bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson Oblast. The installation of the national flag is a gesture in response to the challenges posed by Russian propaganda in the information society.
