Odesa Official Detained for Altering Mobilization Records in

The State Bureau of Investigation has detained an official of the territorial center for recruitment and social support in Odesa region on suspicion of entering false data into the electronic register of conscripts "Oberig" for those wishing to avoid mobilization in exchange for money.

According to the SBI press service, he changed the data in the register regarding the search and military registration of a person.

This allowed clients to even travel abroad, and the detainee, according to the investigation, has been doing this since the end of 2024.

The investigation is already aware of 12 men who took advantage of the illegal scheme, some of whom managed to leave Ukraine. For his help, the official charged USD 3 thousand per person.

The employee of the recruitment center is suspected of unauthorized interference with information and communication systems committed by a person who has the right to access it (Article 362 (1) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The issue of choosing a measure of restraint and removing him from office is being decided.

Earlier, the police served a notice of suspicion of hooliganism to a serviceman of the Territorial Center for Manning and Social Support and two members of a public organization after a fight with shooting in Khadzhibey district of Odesa. Investigators identified three attackers. They were local residents aged 31, 22 and 20. One of them is a serviceman of the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support, and two are members of a public organization.

The police also detained a resident of Izmail district, Odesa region, for obstructing the legitimate activities of military personnel of the territorial centers for recruitment and social support after he threatened them with weapons. During a search of the detainee's residence, police seized the car he was driving, a smoothbore rifle and a carbine with a silencer registered to him, as well as 158 rounds of ammunition of various calibers.
