Damage to the Orange residential complex in Odesa estimated at 60 million

Specialists of the State Environmental Inspectorate of the Southwestern District investigated the consequences of the shelling of Odesa on June 20, when the Orange residential area was damaged.

According to the inspectorate's press service, a ceramic tile store was also damaged.

State environmental inspectors of the Southwestern District inspected the area and recorded the contamination of land plots with a total area of 720 square meters.

According to the calculations, the damage caused is over UAH 60 million. All the information was transferred to the Operational Headquarters of the State Environmental Inspectorate of Ukraine to be included in the unified register of damage caused by armed aggression.

Employees of the State Emergency Service counted more than 10 places where Russian drones hit Odesa on the night of June 20. A 23-story residential building was hit, firefighters extinguished fires on the 18th, 19th, and 20th floors, and 600 people were evacuated from the building. Three people, including three children, were rescued from a blocked apartment. Five other residential buildings at different addresses and three cars caught fire.

A four-story residential building was also completely engulfed in flames. Firefighters rescued three people and evacuated six others from the burning building. While fighting the fire and rescuing people, structural elements collapsed on the rescuers, and three firefighters were injured, they are currently in stable condition in the hospital.

According to Ukrzaliznytsia, the shelling damaged the infrastructure of Odesa railway station. The contact network and rail and sleeper grid were damaged. There were no casualties.
