Bus passengers from Odesa killed in Mykolaiv region

On the night of August 31, at around 02:00, between the villages of Novyi Buh and Kazanka, at the intersection of the Dnipro-Mykolaiv highway and the railway line, a road accident occurred involving a Volkswagen Crafter minibus whose driver was carrying out regular passenger transportation.

According to the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Mykolaiv Oblast, a 17-year-old girl and an older man died at the scene from their injuries.

Another 66-year-old passenger died in a medical facility. According to preliminary data, there were 18 people in the vehicle at the time of the accident. Other passengers, including young children, were taken to medical facilities for examination by ambulances.

According to eyewitnesses, the bus was traveling from Odesa to Kharkiv.

On August 30, Ihor Plekhov , the mayor of Reni, was also involved in an accident between the settlements of Vvedenka and Svitlodolynske in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi district of Odesa region. His Lexus SUV drove off the road into a ditch and overturned. As a result of the accident, a 72-year-old woman, the mayor's mother, who was in the passenger seat, died. Ihor Plekhov himself and his 5-year-old boy, who was also in the car, were taken by ambulance to a local hospital with numerous injuries. The man will be tested for intoxication.

In June, a road accident also occurred on the Odesa-Mykolaiv highway near the village of Malovarvarivka, Mykolaiv district, in which four people were injured. In particular, a 42-year-old Chevrolet driver, a 15-year-old teenager and a 33-year-old passenger were injured.
