Belgorod-Dniester port put up for auction with a starting price of almost 178 million

The regional office of the State Property Fund of Ukraine in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions has announced its intention to hold another auction for the sale of the Belgorod-Dniester Commercial Sea Port on September 6.

The relevant information was published in the Prozorro.Sale system.

The starting price of the lot is UAH 177 million 972.5 thousand, and under the terms of the auction, the buyer must pay off wage arrears and budgetary obligations and pay VAT in the amount of 20% of the final value of the object. As of September 30, 2023, this total debt amounted to UAH 105.5 million.

According to its charter, the main activity of the state enterprise Belgorod-Dniester Commercial Sea Port is auxiliary water transport services. The company specializes in transshipment of timber cargo, mineral fertilizers, iron ore pellets, metal products and grain cargo. Vessels can enter the port through the 1.5 km-long approach channel of the offshore part of the Dniester-Tsarhorod estuary and the 14.5 km-long Dniester-Liman part, with a depth of 3 meters (3.5-4.5 meters according to the passport).

The unified property complex is located on the territory of 64.4 hectares in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi and Zatoka.

The port also includes nine ships, four diesel locomotives, 18 portal cranes, 47 vehicles, etc.

The State Property Fund has put up for privatization the single property complex of the State Enterprise "Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi Commercial Sea Port" seven times. However, there have been no takers so far.

In February 2024, SPFU met with representatives of the South Korean corporation Ssang Yong. They discussed the possibility of privatizing the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi port.
