Attack on the South: Russians killed three people and wounded a child in Odesa region

Today in the morning, the Russian military launched attack drones in the south of Odesa region. Izmail was hit the hardest.

<span> According to the head of the Odesa regional military administration, Oleh Kiper, the work of the air defense forces was long and intense. However, some drones did cause damage - three people died as a result of the attack: two women aged 90 and 69 and a 73-year-old man. Eleven people were injured, including one child.</span>

The shelling also damaged private and apartment buildings, outbuildings, buildings, and cars. Several fires broke out as a result of the attack, which firefighters quickly extinguished. Law enforcement officers are recording the consequences of the Russian terrorist attack. People are being provided with all necessary assistance.

Update 9:09 am: Prosecutors of the Izmail District Prosecutor's Office have launched a pre-trial investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war that led to the death of civilians.

Update 9:13 am: The Izmail district administration reported that 12 people were injured and 3 were killed.

In addition, local media reported that a residential building on S. Levchenko (Lomonosov) Street, a two-story apartment building on Topolna Street, two buildings on Prydunayska Street (Nakhimov's formerly known as Prydunayska Street) and a building on Dobrolyubova Street were damaged.

Among the wounded are a three-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl.

Update 9:16 am: The Air Force said that on the night of September 27, 2024, the enemy attacked with an Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missile from the occupied Crimea, two X-22 cruise missiles from Tu-22M3 bombers from the Black Sea. The occupiers also fired 32 Shahed attack UAVs at Ukraine (launch area: Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Russia). Anti-aircraft missile troops, mobile firing groups and electronic warfare units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces were involved in repelling the enemy air attack.

As a result of the air battle, 24 Shahed attack UAVs were shot down. One UAV entered the airspace of Romania, another enemy UAV was lost as a result of countermeasures by the Ukrainian Defense Forces' electronic warfare units.

Update 10:15: The regional police reported that the number of victims of the attack on Izmail has increased to 14 people. There are three children among them - three, thirteen and fourteen years old. Information on the exact number of victims is being clarified. Law enforcement officers at the sites of the damage are recording the consequences of the enemy attack, collecting evidence of a war crime by the Russian Federation, interviewing citizens, providing them with the necessary assistance, and ensuring law and order.

Earlier, on September 26, a 62-year-old woman was killed in a rocket attack in Odesa district. In addition, the explosions damaged several buildings and cars. Dry grass caught fire, but the fire was quickly extinguished thanks to the prompt actions of rescuers. In the morning, the enemy continued the attack, this time using Shahed-type attack drones. The attack resulted in no casualties and no serious damage to infrastructure.

On September 24 , the Russian occupiers fired four X-59/69 guided missiles at the territory of Odesa region, which were launched from the airspace of the Black Sea. Air defense forces managed to shoot down four missiles.

On Friday, September 20, Odesa also came under a missile attack by Russian occupation forces. People were injured in the shelling. According to preliminary data, the enemy fired at Odesa with Iskander-M ballistic missiles. Law enforcement officers documented the consequences of another attack by Russian troops.

On the evening of September 14, the occupiers fired two Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the occupied Crimea at Odesa. Rescuers found the bodies of two dead men and a woman at the site of the attack. Another 65-year-old woman was also injured. She received shrapnel wounds to her head and right hip joint. She was hospitalized in moderate condition.

On the night of September 13, Odesa and its suburbs were under attack by Russians. The enemy used attack drones. It was noisy in many parts of the city.

On the night of September 12, Zmiinyi Island in Odesa region became a target for Russian invaders. Thus, two X-22/32 cruise missiles from Tu-22M3 aircraft were fired from the airspace over the Black Sea.

On the night of September 11, the Russian occupation forces fired six X-31P anti-radar missiles from tactical aircraft in the direction of Zmiyiny Island.

The day before, on the night of September 10, Russian troops also attacked Zmeinyi using an X-31 guided missile.
