A Mykolaiv court handed over 40 tons of rapeseed to the ARMA over the illegal use of a military camp land plot. The crop was seized as material evidence in criminal proceedings.

This is stated in the decision of the Central District Court of Mykolaiv.

The judge granted the request of the prosecutor of the Mykolaiv Specialized Defense Prosecutor's Office and handed over 40.3 tons of rapeseed to the National Asset Management Agency (ARMA) for sale.

This property was seized as material evidence in the criminal proceedings on the fact of unauthorized occupation of the land plot and illegal cultivation of crops.

According to the investigation, a part of the land plot of a military camp in the village of Kyivo-Oleksandrivske of the Veselynivska community in Mykolaiv region was found to be used for growing rapeseed without the necessary permits. The inspection of the land and the inspection report confirmed the fact of illegal land cultivation and sowing of the crop.

After the violation was discovered, the owner of the crop transferred the rapeseed for safekeeping to Voloshchakevych Farm. In July 2025, 40.3 tons of rapeseed were harvested, with a market value of almost UAH 990 thousand. The investigation determined that the property was material evidence and had specific properties that made its long-term storage impossible without proper management and could lead to a loss of economic value.

The court ruled to transfer the rapeseed to ARMA to ensure its safety and further sale in accordance with the law. According to the law, the transfer of property to ARMA allows preserving its value and using it as evidence in criminal proceedings.

Law enforcement officers found that the land plot was used and rapeseed was grown without any documents confirming the right to use the land. The court ruling is final and cannot be appealed.

In June, law enforcement officers uncovered a large-scale fraud with agricultural products worth almost half a billion hryvnias. According to the investigation, entrepreneurs from Mykolaiv and Odesa regions exported grain abroad through fictitious companies and did not return the foreign exchange earnings to Ukraine. The prosecutor's office has filed a petition with the court to seize the property of the suspected participants in the scheme, including real estate, luxury cars, corporate rights and bank accounts.
