A modern expert-class ultrasound system was launched at the Central District Hospital of the Safianivka community in Izmail region. The new ultrasound machine with advanced diagnostic capabilities was purchased at the expense of the community.
The equipment was purchased through the Prozorro public procurement system, an Intent correspondent reports.
According to the director of the medical institution, Oleh Sadkovsky, the equipment has already been delivered to the hospital. It is ready to work. This is a multifunctional ultrasound machine General Electric LOGIQ P9, which
was installed in the hospital's medical diagnostic center.
According to the procurement data, the expected cost of the ultrasound diagnostic system was UAH 5.54 million. As a result of the bidding, the winner was Protek Solutions Ukraine, a Kyiv-based company that offered to supply the product for UAH 4 million 825 thousand. The funds for the machine were allocated from the budget of the Safianivka rural territorial community.
The new device is an expert-class equipment and has a wide range of diagnostic capabilities. It will be used to conduct examinations in various fields of medicine, including cardiology, urology, gynecology, neurology, pulmonology, as well as to examine the abdominal organs,
vessels, thyroid and mammary glands, and musculoskeletal system.
One of the key features of the system is the availability of shear wave and compression elastography technology. It allows assessing tissue stiffness and helps doctors detect pathologies at early stages. In particular, this technology is used to diagnose chronic liver disease, early detection of fibrosis, and to assess the potential malignancy of thyroid and breast nodes.
According to doctors, this is currently the only device of this level in Izmail that has an elastography function, which significantly improves the accuracy of diagnostics. To be examined using the new equipment, patients need to receive an electronic referral from their family doctor or attending physician, and then make an appointment through the reception of the medical and diagnostic center.
The Executive Committee of the Izmail City Council also decided to approve the City Target Program"Health of Izmail for 2026". The total amount of funding for the program is more than UAH 67 million, which is fully provided for by the city budget
