During 9 months of 2024, 862 criminal proceedings related to Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine and crimes committed against children were investigated under the procedural guidance of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.
This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.
However, the report says that among them are the facts of: injury to 177 and death of 40 minors; two crimes against sexual freedom and inviolability of a minor; abduction and illegal detention of 25 minors; illegal transfer (deportation) of 730 minors; recruitment of minors; damage or destruction of more than 700 children's infrastructure facilities, including educational and medical institutions.

It is also noted that, based on the results of the pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings, an indictment was sent to the court in the procedure of a special pre-trial investigation on charges of Russian citizens - the commander of the Dnipro troop group of the Russian Armed Forces, the commander of the 22nd Army Corps of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Armed Forces and the commander of the 8th Artillery Regiment of Coastal Defense of the 22nd Army Corps of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Navy on the fact of committing criminal offenses under Part. 2 Art. 437, Part 2 Art. 28, Part 2 Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. As a result of the criminal actions of these individuals, in May 2023, large-scale targeted attacks with rocket and high-explosive shells were launched at civilian infrastructure in Kherson, which led to its destruction, the death of 24 and the injury of 51 civilians, including two children.
The press service added that 68 criminal proceedings were investigated against individuals who implemented Russian educational standards in the occupied territories. As a result of the pre-trial investigation, 10 indictments were submitted to the court related to collaboration activities.
