Air defense forces destroy two UAVs over Mykolaiv region

That night, on January 28, the territory of Mykolaiv region was under attack by Russians. The enemy used kamikaze drones.

According to Vitaliy Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, the air defense forces and means used two Shahed 131/136 drones.

During the day, on January 27, Russian troops attacked the waters of the Ochakiv community five times with FPV drones, and twice struck the city of Ochakiv itself. There were no casualties as a result of the attacks.

The Kutsurub community was also targeted by the enemy - it was attacked 12 times with FPV drones. One of the strikes hit the village of Dmytrivka, where the roof and windows of two private houses were damaged. Fortunately, the residents were not injured.

This morning, January 28, Odesa was also attacked by enemy drones. Residential buildings were damaged and cars caught fire. So far, three people have been reported injured in Odesa, and another person was rescued from a blocked apartment.

According to the mayor's office, the blast wave smashed windows in the buildings. City services are working at the scene to clean up the aftermath of the attack.

An operational headquarters has been set up near the affected buildings, where people can apply for financial assistance and receive materials to temporarily close the holes.

Meanwhile, the head of the Odesa regional military administration, Oleh Kiper, said that not only drones but also a missile attacked the city.

"The enemy missile was destroyed. The fragments of the downed UAVs damaged the glass in four residential high-rise buildings and five country houses," said the head of the OMA.

He also said that 10 cars caught fire in one of Odesa's residential yards. A grain warehouse was also damaged. According to Oleg Kiper, four people were injured in the drone attack. A 91-year-old man was hospitalized, while other victims were treated on the spot.
