A resident of Kherson was sentenced to 10 years in prison for collaborating with the occupiers and agitating others to work for the enemy. The court also ruled to confiscate her property - two apartments and a car.

This was reported by the Center for Investigative Journalists with reference to the court' s verdict.

In 2022, 54-year-old Tetiana Voitsekhovska, who lived in Kherson, voluntarily agreed to cooperate with the occupation authorities and took a senior position in the so-called "Service for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Disaster Management" - a structure created by the invaders on the basis of the seized regional department of the State Emergency Service. She became the head of the Department of Economics and Finance and the chief accountant.

According to witnesses, Wojciechowska not only performed financial duties, but also actively sought employees for this illegal institution. She persuaded local residents to join the occupation body, in effect calling for cooperation with the enemy. In the summer of 2022, when the invaders were carrying out repairs in the seized SES building, Wojciechowska was already working there.

During a search of her apartment, law enforcement officers seized documents confirming her involvement in working for the occupiers. The court found these materials to be sufficient evidence.

On May 20, 2025, the Kherson City Court found Tatiana Voitsekhovska guilty under Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - collaboration. The woman was sentenced to the maximum penalty of 10 years in prison with confiscation of all her property: two apartments and a Mazda 3 car. She is also banned from working in the civil service for 15 years.

The verdict has not yet entered into force, as the woman is in hiding and is wanted. According to the court, she is a citizen of Ukraine, born in Novocherkassk, Russia, but lived in Kherson before the full-scale invasion.

The Kherson City Court also recognized Natalia Desyatova, a former singer who agreed to head the Shovkunenko Regional Art Museum during the occupation on the instructions of the Russian administration, as a collaborator. The verdict was passed on April 21, 2025, in absentia, as Desiatova is still in the occupied territory and is avoiding responsibility.
