During the occupation of Kherson, a man claiming to be an advisor to the military commandant, together with the Russian military, robbed car dealerships and service stations, disguising the robbery as an alleged inventory. He was tried.

The Shevchenkivsky District Court of Chernivtsi announced the sentence to the occupiers' accomplice, the SBU Office in the region reported.

The investigation established that the defendant held a position in the occupation administration - he worked in the so-called "property fund". He personally accompanied the Russian military during raids on car dealerships, service stations, and transportation companies. Under the guise of inspection or accounting, he "inventoried" cars, which were then registered as "no one's" and transferred to the occupation authorities for use.

The man himself called himself an "advisor to the military commandant of Kherson" and used this status to put pressure on business owners. According to the SBU, more than 150 vehicles were appropriated in this way.

The court found him guilty under Part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - aiding the aggressor state. In addition to imprisonment, the court banned him from holding public office for 15 years.

Earlier, the court handed down a verdict in absentia to an inspector of the Chongar border guard service who betrayed Ukraine at the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia. He did not comply with the order and voluntarily went over to the side of the aggressor state.

Also in the dock was the former head of the Kherson colony, who ordered the forced transfer of 97 prisoners from the Snihuriv colony.

In addition, the court sentenced in absentia a servicewoman of the 57th separate motorized infantry brigade of the operational command "South" Natalia Lysitska, who was found guilty of aiding the aggressor state.
