About a billion has been allocated for the defense of Kherson region

Every day, hundreds of specialists and hundreds of pieces of equipment are working on the construction of fortifications in the de-occupied Kherson region.

This was stated by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin.

"We are building the second line of defense, which is another level of protection against the enemy. The state has allocated about a billion hryvnias for the construction of fortifications in Kherson region," Prokudin said.

Work on strengthening the defense of Kherson region has been going on for more than a year: fortifications are being built, strongholds are being equipped and fortifications are being constructed.

"We have now reached the next stage - the arrangement of the second line of defense. Similar activities are being carried out in all frontline regions, not only in Kherson. However, for some reason, the majority of civilians perceive the construction of the second line of defense as a betrayal and surrender of positions. I want to assure you that there is no reason to panic. Our brave soldiers are standing firm in defense of Kherson region and the entire country. You can be sure of that," the head of the JFO emphasized.

Earlier it was reported that on January 19, the National Guard, territorial defense and anti-aircraft missile units received searchlights with investors and laser pointers. This is not the first time this year that civilians have helped the defenders of the region. The day before, the territorial defense units received shoes, tablets and batteries.

Communities of Kherson region are constantly helping the defenders of the region to get the necessary equipment. At the end of January, the military working in the Kherson sector received another useful cargo. This support will increase the effectiveness of the soldiers defending the Kherson region. The watercraft will allow us to supply the soldiers with food, weapons and rotate personnel on the left bank. The electronic warfare systems will protect them from Russian drones, and the battery will provide power to the unit for a long time.
