A resident of the Kherson region, who became the head of the occupation "council of deputies of the Genichesk municipal district," is suspected of collaboration.

This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The report says that under the procedural guidance of the Kherson Regional and Genichesk District Prosecutor's Offices, the local resident was served in absentia with a notice of suspicion of collaboration (Part 5 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, in 2023, the 49-year-old suspect took part in illegal elections to the so-called "council of deputies of the Genichesk municipal district of Kherson region" from the United Russia political party. Having received the mandate, in September 2023, she headed the local "council of deputies". As the "chairman", she performed administrative, economic, organizational and administrative functions, resolved issues of logistical and organizational support for the activities of the occupation body, etc.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the SBU Office in Kherson region.

Earlier it was reported that three "heads" of the structural units of the occupation administration of Kherson were served with a notice of suspicion. According to the investigation, in 2022 they all headed the structural units of the occupation administration of Kherson. In April of that year, the man became the "head of the HR department," and another suspect, his daughter-in-law, headed the "department of financial sectors of the city's life support in June." Yet another suspect became the head of the "department of record keeping". In their positions, the suspects contribute to the legalization of the occupation regime in the illegally created government and make decisions on local issues.

A resident of Kherson, who headed the occupation "Department of Labor and Social Policy", was also suspected.
