On November 4, at 18:00, the Odesa Regional Philharmonic hosted a musical and historical performance"Marches Temper Us for Fighting", which featured Ukrainian marches performed by various artists.
Among the participants were Taras Kompanichenko, Vitaliy Kyrychenko (No. 482), Khrystyna Panasiuk, the band Druzhe Muzyko, Serhiy Vasylyuk (Shadow of the Sun), TARUTA, and the National Odesa Orchestra.
The project lasted about two and a half hours, combining historical and contemporary compositions. The participants are well-known Ukrainian musicians and military personnel who emphasize the importance of historical memory and spiritual resilience through art.
We must remember the price of freedom every minute. Just like 100 years ago, our identity is being tested now, and our strength lies in our inner resilience and Ukrainian Odesa, said Iryna Butko, the project's producer.
The stage featured music by Druzhe Muzyko and TaRuta, as well as Khrystyna Panasiuk. The event was supported by the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation and the National Institute of Memory of Ukraine, which provided brief historical information about battle songs and marches.
The purpose of the performance was to raise the morale of Ukrainians in difficult times and inspire them to keep the line. The Music Battalion has been supporting the Ukrainian army through art since 2014, working both on the front line and in the rear.
Intent 's photojournalist Natalia Dovbysh attended the event and captured the atmosphere of the event through her photos.
Munich has also recently presented a cultural project dedicated to the history of the Germans of the Black Sea region, in particular Odesa and Mykolaiv. As part of the event, a photo exhibition was opened, featuring archival and contemporary photographs that depict the life and heritage of German communities in the region.
