A judge who listed four apartments on his financial disclosure form was appointed to the Mykolaiv Court of Appeals

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Oleksandr Tomashevsky to the position of judge of the Mykolaiv Court of Appeals.

The head of state signed the corresponding decree following approval of the nomination by the High Council of Justice.

According to the document, Oleksandr Oleksandrovych Tomashevsky has been appointed to the position of judge of the Mykolaiv Court of Appeals. Previously, he served as a judge of the Kazankivsky District Court in Mykolaiv Oblast.

Intent reviewed the judge’s annual declaration for 2025. In the document, Tomashevsky listed his wife Tetyana, his son Artem, and his daughter Alina—all of whom reside in Mykolaiv.

The judge owns a 61.4-square-meter apartment in Mykolaiv valued at two million hryvnias, which he acquired in September 2024. Another apartment in Mykolaiv, with an area of 66.8 square meters , is jointly owned by the judge and the married couple Oleksandr and Larisa Tomashevsky.

A third apartment, measuring 44.1 square meters and purchased in 2004 for 22,828 hryvnias, belongs to the Gavrilovs—the judge and his wife have the right to reside there. The fourth apartment, with an area of 77.7 square meters, is located in the village of Kazanka in the Mykolaiv region and is leased by the judge; the owners are the Ilyin couple.

The declaration also lists an unfinished construction project—a 40.7-square-meter apartment in Mykolaiv, listed as owned by the judge’s wife.

The family owns one car—a 2019 Mitsubishi ASX worth over half a million hryvnias, registered in the judge’s father’s name. The judge himself and his wife are authorized to drive this car.
