The Executive Committee of the Izmail City Council has decided to finance restoration work at three facilities that were damaged during a drone attack on the city on February 27.
This was reported by Intent with reference to decision #265.
A total of UAH 14 million 34.9 thousand is planned to be allocated from the city budget to restore the infrastructure. The largest amount - 11 million 536.7 thousand hryvnias - is allocated for the current repair of the building of the municipal institution of preschool education, kindergarten No. 19 "Mayak", located on Myru Avenue. Another UAH 1 million 345.4 thousand 419.25 is planned to be spent on the current repair of the building of the adult polyclinic on Klushina Street. The funds will be used, in particular, to replace damaged windows and other restoration work.
In addition, UAH 1 million 152.8 thousand will be allocated to eliminate the consequences of damage to the municipal institution Portovyk Leisure Center on Nezalezhnosti Avenue. Corresponding changes have been made to the annexes of the Urgent Housing and Communal Property Recovery Program. After adjustments, the total funding for the program will amount to over UAH 62.1 million. The funds will be used to carry out urgent work to eliminate the consequences of the attacks and restore public infrastructure. Deputy Mayor Kateryna Tatarintseva is in charge of overseeing the implementation of the decision.
On the night of February 27, Russian troops massively attacked Izmail with attack drones. The city's port, industrial and civilian infrastructure came under attack. Two civilians, a three-year-old girl and a 43-year-old man, were injured in the attack and hospitalized. Law enforcement officers opened a criminal investigation into the attack under the article on war crimes.
