Confiscation of Property in Ukrainian Courts
Confiscation of property is an additional criminal punishment that consists of the forcible seizure by the state of the property of a convicted person. It is applied primarily for serious mercenary crimes, including corruption, bribery, espionage, and illegal enrichment. In Ukraine, confiscation is also used as a measure against the assets of persons involved in occupation and war crimes.
