budjak
Budzhak is a historical and geographical region in southern Ukraine, located between the Dniester and Danube rivers within the boundaries of modern Odesa and Chornivtsi regions. The region has a rich multicultural history associated with Bulgarian, Romanian, Gagauz, and other settlers. Budzhak played an important role in the development of southern Ukrainian economy, urbanization, and infrastructure, particularly railway construction. Today, this region remains an important part of Ukraine's cultural and historical heritage.
