In the Odesa region, there are plans to create the "Budzha Steppes" National Park, covering 9,700 hectares

Members of the Budzhak Town Council approved a draft decree on the establishment of the “Budzhak Steppes” National Nature Park, with an estimated area of 9,700 hectares. The goal is to preserve the community’s steppe and forest areas, as well as to develop tourism.
This was discussed during the 72nd extraordinary session of the Budzhak Town Council.
At the beginning of the meeting, the members verified attendance and declared the session quorate. Four items were added to the agenda, the first of which was the approval of the draft decree on the establishmentof the “Budzhatski Steppes” National Nature Park.
During the presentation of the draft, the community head noted that the future park is expected to cover approximately 9,700 hectares of natural areas. Among the main arguments in favor of its creation were the preservation of steppes and forests, which are of ecological importance.
In addition to preserving natural areas, the creation of the national park, according to the community head, could yield economic benefits. Specifically, this includes the creation of new jobs and the development of tourism.
Following the discussion, the deputies approved the draft decree.
Separately, the deputies discussed an inventory of land under forest belts for participation in a European greening project, the transfer of towers to a municipal enterprise for permanent use, and the preparation of land plots for sale or transfer via auction.
