Blackouts and power outages
A blackout is a large-scale power outage across a city, region, or country. On Ukrainian territory, blackouts often occur as a result of Russian strikes on energy infrastructure, particularly in southern regions (Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson). The phenomenon is accompanied by the need to implement emergency measures, alternative energy sources, and backup power supply systems to provide the population with light and heat.
