From the first day of the election process and no later than five days before its completion, citizens have the opportunity to write an application to change their voting place without changing their place of official registration.
This was reminded by the head of the Central Election Commission Tetyana Slipachuk at a press conference, according to Ukrinform.
"The possibility of changing the place of voting starts from the first day of the election process, but no later than the election day, when a person can apply to the State Register of Voters and submit an application for changing the place of voting without changing the election address," Slipachuk said.
According to her, the procedure for filing an application is defined by CEC Resolution No. 893.
The application must contain the voter's personal identification data that uniquely define his or her identity: surname, full name (all proper names), patronymic, date, place of birth and unique record number in the Unified State Demographic Register (if such information is available in the submitted identity document confirming the citizenship of Ukraine), his/her election address, as well as the motivation for the need to temporarily change the place of voting and the address where he/she will be on election day or the number of the polling station that he/she requests to be designated as his/her voting place, indicating the electoral district and its number (if any).
The application shall be accompanied by documents (copies of documents) confirming the need to temporarily change the voter's voting place without changing the voting address. If the application is accompanied by copies of documents, their originals shall be submitted to the body maintaining the Register to verify the accuracy of these copies.
At the same time, the head of the CEC called on Ukrainians to come with applications for changing their voting place as early as possible, if necessary, and not to wait until the last days.
