In Crimea, four Ukrainian citizens will be tried for aiding the Russian army - they repaired equipment, transferred equipment and raised funds for the military of the aggressor country. All face up to 12 years in prison.

This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.

According to the investigation, one of the defendants organized a repair base at his service station in Crimea, where more than 300 pieces of heavy military equipment for the Russian army were restored from 2022 to 2024.

Another defendant, through the "Team of Opportunities" movement established in Simferopol, raised money and purchased equipment - anti-drone guns, drones, electronic warfare equipment, helmets and rangefinders. These items were transferred to the Russian military, which is waging war against Ukraine.

The other two defendants, representatives of the Vistochka organization, sent uniforms, radios, food and other equipment to the front line. They raised funds publicly - through the telegram channel of their "volunteer group".

The Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea brought cases against four Ukrainian citizens who systematically assisted the Russian armed forces. They are accused of aiding and abetting the aggressor state (Part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). This is punishable by up to 12 years in prison.

The case was investigated by the SBU Investigation Department in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. Law enforcers emphasized that the actions of all four are aimed at supporting the enemy army and harm the security of Ukraine.

Law enforcers also served a notice of suspicion to a Crimean businessman of collaboration: after the occupation of the peninsula, he re-registered his company under Russian law, continued to produce canned fish under Ukrainian brands and worked for the invaders.

In addition, the head of the so-called "Krympatriot Center" was sentenced in absentia to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property - the verdict was passed on the submission of the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. He was found guilty of violating the laws and customs of war, as well as publicly praising war criminals through the media.
