Volunteer doctors helped almost 800 residents of Kherson region

A medical mission of volunteer doctors continues in Kherson Oblast. Last week, the doctors visited a number of settlements in the Beryslav region: Orlove, Svobodne, Pryhiria, Kochubeivka, Zahradivka, and Novobratske.

This was reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

The post says that a family doctor, neurologist, ophthalmologist, endocrinologist, and cardiologist provided free consultations for patients. The specialists also provided services for ultrasound diagnostics, electrocardiography, and laboratory testing. The specialists provided medical care to more than 550 local residents.

It is noted that the Kherson Mobile Clinics project is being implemented by the Fortitude UA charitable foundation in partnership with the International Rescue Committee and with the support of the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund.

The press service also added that mobile medical teams continue to provide the necessary assistance to residents of the Kherson region. During the week, doctors visited Kherson, Chornobaivka, as well as the villages of Vysoke and Lymanets. A gynecologist and an endocrinologist conducted the visits. The gynecologist conducted ultrasound examinations for patients who needed it and took cytological samples from 22 women. The endocrinologist helped patients adjust their treatment. In total, 186 people were examined during the visits.

The visits were conducted by the CASERS NGO with the participation of the Crisis Center and support from the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and in partnership with the international organization Médecins du Monde - France.

Earlier it was reported that in Kherson region, volunteer dentists treated 195 residents of the Kalynivka community. At the initiative of the Kalynivka UIA and the local outpatient clinic, volunteers from the Dental Hope mission visited the community.

It was also reported that American volunteer doctors visited the Kherson region to help local residents.
